EXAMPLES OF OUR EXPERIENCE

"Development of a climate change mitigation strategy for Azerbaijan's oil & gas company". The project is supported by the International Climate Change Initiative of the Federal Ministry of Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety of Germany.

The goal of the project is to help Azerbaijan's national oi l& gas company SOCAR developing a climate change mitigation strategy. Such a strategy would show that a leading company in Azerbaijan could voluntarily take responsibility for the reduction of GHG emissions. The project facilitates the respective know-how transfer and provides advice for the development and implementation of an internal system for the company to stimulate the development of GHG emissions reduction potential. Main measures envisaged by the project will include an analysis of SOCAR's potential for the implementation of renewable energies and energy efficiency; elaboration of a list of proposals for activities to be implemented, elaboration of a respective action plan and support in the identification and selection of BAT for agreed measures.
