PROF. DR. CHRISTIAN WEY

is Senior Research Associate with DIW econ and Professor at the Düsseldorf Institute for Competition Economics (DICE) of the Heinrich-Heine-University of Dusseldorf Before he was head of the Information Society and Competition Department at DIW Berlin Chair of Network, Information and Communication Economics at the Berlin Institute of Technology (TU Berlin). He has published in leading economic journals and has advised governments, regulators and private firms on regulation and competition issues. Recently, Christian Wey has worked on the emergence of effective competition in telecommunication markets, the competitiveness of collective wage-setting regimes and buyer power in the retail industry. Christian Wey holds a Ph.D. from Saarland University and received his habilitation from Humboldt University Berlin.
